As Guerry Smith reported of, the Saints will become the second team since 2002 to start 0-4 and be above .500 at any point in the season should they get a win against the Niners Sunday. The Saints have won 5 of their last 6 and still have a chance at an NFC playoff spot. One team they’ll have to beat out is NFC South divisional opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Prior to the Saints win against the Bucs back in October, average prices for their next matchup in December have gone up 27 percent ($60 per ticket).

“Statistically, the Saints are not that much different than when they were 0-4. They still rank last in the NFL in total defense, giving up almost 50 more yards per game than any other team. They still are near the top of the league in passing (second) and the bottom in rushing (26th).”

The Saints stats may be similar to when they were 0-4, but ticket prices are very different. If prices are an indicator of interest, than Saints fans interest has heightened. Average ticket prices to the last two games at the Superdome this season against divisional opponents (Tampa Bay Dec. 16 and Carolina Dec. 30) have increased a combined 39 percent since just a month ago.
