This Week In Music

  • This Monday, MTV premiered Maroon 5’s new video, ‘One More Night’.
  • The Black Key’s have been quite busy, and not because they wrapped up the first part of their El Camino tour. They’re suing both Pizza Hut and Home Depot for copyright infringement, claiming that their songs “Gold On the Ceiling” and “Lonely Boy” were used in recent commercials without permission. According to the Associated Press, both companies are expected to pay “unspecified damages of more than $75,000 apiece.” The Black Key’s drummer, Patrick Carney, stirred up some controversy, telling Rolling Stone that Van Halen’s new line-up with Eddie Van Halen’s son is “f-ing retarded.” He mentioned that he wasn’t a big fan of the music and that the performance “fell flat”.
